coquina
ReplyDeleteGigi has the answer, too. Technically, the answer is "coquina stone". Coquina, in Spanish, means tiny shells. The large beds of tiny loose shells that wash up on the beach are called coquina. After the long, long process of compacting in the earth, under great pressure, it turns to stone.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the science lesson,
ReplyDeletethanks for all the rhyming messing.
Rockin Gordon..........would you be so kind as to add Mildred@Nalley Valley to our Shoot-Out list? There are a few other's and I just can't remember them right this second because my mind is totally numb from work this week. They should all be posting tomorrow and we'll catch them then I suppose?
