WHATZIT #17

Please post an answer on my blog.
It's neither a seashell nor a frog.
St. Augustine is where I've gotzit.
The query now, to you, is whatzit?
****

Winners, Winners of this whatzit spinner.

Ms Audrey and Noe Noe have shown their grit,

And declared a "Putter" is the name of it.

  1. YIKES! I have no idea - it looks a bit "Darth Vaderish" to me!
Seriously, it seems like it might be cast iron so...something for cooking?

  2. Audrey, I'm so glad you happened by.
But, alas, you're wrong. Have another try.

  3. Spatula was my initial thought
But now my mind is terribly wrought
It looks to be some sort of pedal
From a car, or for playing heavy metal?

  4. It, obviously, is not a kettle.
I don't think it would work for a pedal.
I love seeing you whatzit unsettled,
And, I do detest heavy metal.

  5. Girlchef, Girlchef, that's so funny!
It's not even a comb of honey.

can't imagine you have those in droves
    florida is too hot
    but are we too frought?

  9. The cat was a stretch, I must admit.
And, even the gator eyes would have made me pitch a fit.
But, this whatzit is a snap.
So, you will have to draw your very own map.
    (Those aren't hints!)
It was just me, trying to vent.

  10. I've blown it up
    and shrunk it down
    turned it around and around
Is it huge, or is it tiny
This whatzit is making my brain shiny
I'll guess again to be respectable
    Is it a trash recepticle?

  11. J9, I'm afraid I have to bash,
Your guess that it's a holder of trash.
I shake with laughter at the guess of Noe Noe,
That it could be an ironer of clothes.

  12. J9, I can see you saying, "Dog gone it!
I think I'll google, A METAL THINGY WITH LINES ON IT."

  13. I'm sorry I've caused this consternation.
To all of you, my salutations.
This is a hint, and you're going to love it.
Refer to the photo just above it.

  14. It is a GOLF CLUB - of some strange ilk!
    Sorry Noe Noe...I WIN!

  15. Finally! At last! I heard you mutter,
    That it's a golf putter!
    You win! You won!
    Once agin!

  16. I am so glad I just looked and past by cause I would have never guessed a putter - have never even seen one to imagine or compare.

  17. Gordon, I thought I would check in and see what was up. I have been so busy. I came here earlier but did not even have time strain my brain to write a little riddle. And of course, I never know what anything is, and that is odd for a photographer.

I am so far behind. Festivals, graduations, and all the news things that pop up are just wearing me out. But I always remember my favorite bloggers. Do you feel me thinking about you at odd hours?

You take care and catch some fish for us.

    Off to shoot a graduation.

BTW, my husband loves those golf balls! He is an avid golfer. Great banner.
